Chair
NCAE Black Caucus

Greetings Everyone,

My name is Michelle Burton and I am very honored to serve as the Chair of the NCAE Black Caucus. The main goal of the NCAE Black Caucus is to advocate for changes in NCAE and North Carolina around issues that affect our students and educators in the African-American community. The four main points that the leadership team and members advocate for are:

* Advance the interests of the teaching profession

* Promote the cause of Black educators throughout North Carolina

* Make and keep NCAE aware of its commitments and obligations to Black educators

* Assist NCAE in the procurement of jobs and advancement opportunities moreover, appointive positions for Black educators

In order to do the work of the Black Caucus, we need as many NCAE members to join us as we advocate for the educational opportunities that our students so rightly deserve and for the professional advancement of African-American educators. The yearly dues are $20.00 and the fiscal year runs from July 1-June 30. To join, please click this link here: https://ncaeblackcaucustre.wixsite.com/ncaebc/membership
